DB5

From the Library, an impressive Victoria spiral staircase connects you to the wonderful and idiosyncratic DB5. This smaller room with its sloping ceiling and nods to the 1970's has, at its heart, a glamorous side. Its eclectic furniture and Donkey Bay colours of black and gold with splashes of primary reds, greens and yellows is just the start. French Doors lead one out onto a private balcony to commanding and panoramic views of the stunning Bay of Islands.

Accessed from the Library, an impressive spiral Victorian staircase connects you to the wonderful and idiosyncratic DB5. This smaller room with its sloping ceiling and nods to the 1970's has, at its heart, a glamorous side. Its eclectic furniture and Donkey Bay colours of black and gold with splashes of primary reds, greens and yellows is just the start. A Seaview door leads one out onto a private balcony to commanding and panoramic views of the stunning Bay of Islands.

(With the spiral staircase and sloping ceiling, this room is for the adventurous traveller who loves the quirkier side life has to offer.)

The DB-5 bathroom is every bit as unique as the bedroom. As one enters through a sliding industrial door, one's eye is drawn to the small picture window looking out to sea which is perfectly positioned to take in the sea view whilst you are standing under the rainfall shower. 60's wallpaper, and an Art Deco sideboard re-purposed as a vanity all add to the atmosphere.
